OPERATOR
THE ROLE
-
Operate and maintain our Agrifac Condor 5 self-propelled sprayer across a variety of crops, covering approximately 2,000 hectares
-
Maintain accurate records to ensure full compliance with legislation and assurance schemes
-
Support the wider farm team as required, contributing to general farm operations and teamwork
-
Input into farm-wide decisions alongside Farm Management team

Apply pesticides and liquid fertilisers safely and accurately in line with agronomic recommendations

CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
PA1, PA2, and PA4 certifications essential
-
Proven experience operating agricultural sprayers, preferably in a large-scale arable setting
-
Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability
to carry out basic maintenance and
troubleshooting -
Team-oriented, with a willingness to support
colleagues across farm operations -
High attention to detail, ensuring precision
in application and compliance with regulations -
Proactive approach, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when required

REQUIRED
A G Wright & Son (Farms) Ltd farm 1850ha centred around Ely, Cambridgeshire.
​
Cropping includes 1250ha combinable crops, 190ha potatoes plus grassland and countryside stewardship.
We are looking for students to undertake tasks including irrigation, crop carting and loading, machinery operations and general farm duties from April to November.
